How to use the free AI book writer
- Describe your book. One or two sentences on the topic and what the reader will get, like "A beginner's guide to starting a podcast". Add who it's for if you can.
- Pick a tone and a length. Friendly, professional or direct, and 5, 8, 10 or 12 chapters.
- Get the outline. You get a working title, a one-line promise and the chapters, each with a short summary. Change any title or summary you like.
- Write a sample chapter. Pick a chapter and press Write sample chapter. It appears as it's written, and you can copy it or download it as a .txt or .md file.

How to get a better result
- Be specific about the reader. "People leaving a full-time job to freelance" gets a sharper book than "everyone".
- Say what the reader will be able to do. A clear result gives the outline a direction.
- Edit the outline before you write. The sample chapter follows your edited titles and summaries.
- Add your own examples. Where the chapter says "[add an example here]" or "[check this fact]", put in a real story or a checked source. That's what turns a draft into your book.

Is the free AI book writer really free?

Do I need an account?
No. Describe your book and press Write my outline. You may sometimes be asked to confirm you’re human.
Can it write a whole book?
No. It writes an outline and one sample chapter. Koobe writes the whole book: every chapter, a cover and EPUB and PDF files.
Can it write fiction?
No. It’s built for nonfiction, such as guides, how-to books and business books. Novels, stories, poems and picture books aren’t supported.
Who owns the text it writes?
Koobe doesn’t claim ownership of it. Whether anyone can hold copyright in it is a separate question: the US Copyright Office says purely AI-generated material isn’t protected, while the parts a person adds, such as their own writing, edits and creative arrangement, can be. Rules differ by country. This isn’t legal advice.
Do I have to say a book was written with AI?
Many stores ask. Amazon KDP asks you to tell it when text, images or translations are AI-generated, and Apple Books asks for an AI label. Rules differ and change, so read our guides to publishing on Amazon KDP and on Apple Books, and check each store’s current policy before you upload.
Can I sell a book written with AI?
Usually, yes, if you follow each store’s rules, such as disclosing AI-generated content where they ask, and the book meets their quality standards. You’re the publisher, so you’re responsible for what it says. Edit it, check the facts and add your own knowledge first.
Is the text original?
It’s written fresh for each request, but we can’t promise it’s unique or free of similarities to other text, and it can contain mistakes. Treat it as a first draft to edit and fact-check.
Do you store what I type?
No. Your idea, your outline edits and the chapter are sent to write the text and aren’t saved or logged. We keep only anonymous counts, such as how many outlines were written today.
