Ebook Title Generator
Describe your book and get ten title and subtitle ideas that follow Amazon’s rules.
How to use the ebook title generator
Describe your book in a sentence or two: the subject, who it’s for and what they’ll be able to do. Add the readers if you like, pick a style, and generate. You get ten title and subtitle pairs from different angles. Click Write this book on any of them to start it in Koobe.
What makes a nonfiction title sell
- A short title, a working subtitle. The title is the hook (two to seven words). The subtitle says who it’s for and the result they get, which is also what shoppers search for.
- Specific beats clever. “Sourdough on a Schedule” tells busy bakers it’s for them; “Rise Up” doesn’t.
- Promise one clear outcome. A title that tries to cover everything is hard to remember.
Amazon’s title rules
KDP’s metadata guidelines apply to the title and subtitle together, and the generator follows them:
- Title and subtitle must be fewer than 200 characters combined.
- No sales claims or promotions, like “bestselling” or “free”.
- No other authors’ or books’ names unless you’re authorised, and no trademarks you don’t own.
- No keyword stuffing, like repeating “journal”, “notebook” or “gifts”.
Once you have a title, outline it with the outline generator and find its KDP keywords.

Is it free?
Yes. You can run the generators a few times a day without an account. Making a whole book in the Koobe studio is free too: your first book is on us.
How long can a KDP title be?
Your title and subtitle together must be fewer than 200 characters on KDP. Shorter is usually better: most strong nonfiction titles are under seven words, with the detail in the subtitle.
Can I use a title someone else has used?
Titles generally can’t be copyrighted, so duplicates exist. Still, search Amazon first: a unique title is easier to find, and KDP doesn’t allow titles that imply you’re connected to another author or book.
Do you keep what I type?
No. Your description is used to write the answer and isn’t saved. We only count how many times the tool was used, so it stays free for everyone.
