AI Ebook Cover Generator
Get two finished ebook covers, with your title and name lettered in and spell-checked, in about a minute.
How to use the AI cover generator
Type your title, and add a subtitle and author name if you want them on the cover. A line about what the book covers helps pick the imagery, and you can choose a look (bold and graphic, painterly, minimal and so on). Click Design two covers: about a minute later you get two different finished covers to download.
What you get
- Finished covers, lettering included. Your title, subtitle and name are set in type that suits the design, not pasted on top.
- Spelling checked. Image generators sometimes misspell. Every cover is read back before you see it, and any with a mistake is redrawn.
- Two different directions. Each run tries two styles, from flat graphic design to painting or photography, so you can compare.
- Store-ready size. JPEGs of 1,696 × 2,528 px in RGB, around 1 to 2 MB.
What makes a cover work
Shoppers first see your cover the size of a stamp, in a grid of others. The covers that sell:
- Read at thumbnail size: a big, short title and one strong image, not a busy scene.
- Look like their genre: a cookbook should look like a cookbook. Browse the top of your category on Amazon first.
- Leave out extras: no taglines, badges or review quotes on an ebook cover.
These are front covers for ebooks. A paperback needs a full wrap with a back and a spine: work out the size with the spine width calculator, and check any cover against each store with the cover size checker.
AI ebook cover examples
“The Balcony Harvest”, painterly look
A warm painting of tomatoes and herbs on a city balcony at sunset, with the title in an elegant italic serif.
The same title, bold and graphic
A flat, mid-century poster style: teal buildings, vegetables spilling over a railing, and a heavy condensed title.
A business guide, minimal
A large title on a calm background with one small symbolic image: the look that reads best at thumbnail size.

Is it free?
Yes. You get two free runs a day, two covers each, without an account. In the Koobe studio, every book gets four cover designs per run.
Are the covers the right size for Amazon KDP?
Yes. At 1,696 × 2,528 px they’re well above KDP’s 625 × 1,000 px minimum and Apple Books’ 1,400 px short side. KDP’s ideal shape is a little taller (1,600 × 2,560 px); a 2:3 cover like this is accepted by KDP, Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play.
Can I use the cover commercially?
Yes, use it for your book. Koobe claims no rights to what you make. In some countries, including the US, images made by AI may not be protected by copyright, so someone else could make something similar.
Do I need to tell Amazon the cover was made with AI?
Yes. When you publish on KDP, Amazon asks whether your book contains AI-generated content, including images such as the cover. Answer yes for an AI-made cover.
